Woolworths Blast -
Ages 5-7
Program Summary
Our super popular Woolworths Cricket Blast is an action-packed program where kids learn the basics of cricket in a fun and friendly environment through skill-based activities.
Junior Blasters (5-7 years)

Our Junior Blasters program is the ultimate first step into cricket for kids aged 5–7 – a full hour of energy, laughter, and zero standing around (we promise!).
Each session runs for one hour, which is the perfect length to keep young minds engaged without overwhelming them. It’s all about fun, skill-based games rather than traditional matches, helping kids build confidence while learning the basics of batting, bowling and catching in a relaxed, pressure-free environment.
Designed by Cricket Australia, the program focuses on developing key skills like hand-eye coordination, movement, and teamwork – all while making sure every child is actively involved and having a great time.
As part of the experience, every player receives their own Cricket Blast Pack, with gear they’ll love to use and show off – including items like a bat, ball, backpack, hat, water bottle, and even a personalised shirt.
And when they’re ready, we’ll guide them to the next step. Progression into Master Blasters isn’t strictly age-based – it’s about confidence and skill development. When your child is ready, we’ll help them take that next exciting step into game-based cricket.
More than anything, Junior Blasters is about creating a positive first experience in sport – where kids make friends, build confidence, and fall in love with the game.
