Proserpine Junior Cricket is passionate about the participation of children of all backgrounds and abilities to participate in sport. We aim to create a safe and supported environment to learn the basics or cricket or help hone their skills.
Friday Night Club Nights
Our junior cricket season runs across Terms 4 and 1, with all the action taking place on Friday nights – the highlight of the week for our young cricketers. From the first ball to the last, it's all about fun, friendship, and fair play.
Whether your child is just picking up a bat for the first time or already dreams of hitting sixes at the MCG, they’ll find a place here. Our inter-club games are designed to be inclusive, supportive, and loads of fun – welcoming boys and girls of all skill levels and backgrounds.
One of the things that makes our club nights truly special is the shared space – from Junior Blasters just learning the ropes right through to our Under 17s showcasing their skills. It’s a chance for younger players to see the journey ahead, and for older kids to lead by example. It’s more than just a game – it’s a pathway, a community, and a cricketing family.
Mackay Whitsunday Competition
Keen for more cricket? Most of our juniors (about 95%) also take part in the optional Mackay Whitsunday Junior Cricket Competition on Saturday mornings.
We’ve got teams from Under 11s to Under 17s, with the Under 11s enjoying modified games, and older players competing for the championship title. Around half the games are played at home to keep travel fair across clubs.
It’s a fun and competitive comp – and a brilliant pathway for those aiming to play representative cricket down the track.
Proserpine/Bowen Inter-town Competition
The Proserpine/Bowen Inter-Town Comp is one of the standout experiences of our season – and while it’s optional, it’s a crowd favourite for a reason.
We’ve built a strong and long-standing connection with Bowen Cricket Club, and that bond has grown into something pretty special. Together, we field a combined team – the Whitsunday Bullsharks – who proudly compete in the North Queensland Country Cup.
Throughout the season, five Inter-Town games are played on Sundays, alternating between Proserpine and Bowen. It’s open to players in Under 10s, Under 12s and Under 15s, and it’s a great chance to play competitive cricket in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Our Woolworth Blast programs are perfect for littlies. Sessions go for around 1 hour and children learn cricket skills through drills and fun skill-based games. Come along for a trial afternoon to try before signing up.

- When is the registration period?
Registration for the new season is usuallyopens at the end of Term 3. However, you are welcome to bring your child for a Come and Try day on a Friday afternoon at any stage during the season before signing up.
- What is included in the registration fee?
Woolworths Blast participants have set packs with their registration.
Master Blasters and above receive a club shirt, hat, and water bottle. Fees also include membership and insurance. Competition shirts are purchased separately.
