Proserpine Junior Cricket is passionate about the participation of girls in cricket. Over the last 7 years, our female membership has increased from 2 to over 30. We aim to create a safe and supported environment to learn the basics or cricket or help hone their skills.

All Girls Team

This season’s one for the history books — we’ve got our first ever all-girls team! It’s a massive moment for our club and the region, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Ten amazing girls make up our Under 11s all-girls side, playing in the Mackay mixed comp.Led by Coach Danni, the team’s built on fun, friendship, and giving everything a crack — whether they’re brand new to cricket or already hooked.

It’s been brilliant watching them grow in confidence, cheer each other on, and just enjoy the game. A big step forward for girls’ cricket in our region — and we reckon it’s only the beginning.

All Girls Cricket Program

Our All Girls Cricket program, which is aimed at girls aged 5-12 years, is an hour of fun skill-based games, and a game of cricket. All in a safe and supportive environment.

We hope to instil confidence, teamwork, and a love of cricket!

PLUS they have the chance to meet new friends (and is a great place for parents to meet new people too).

Girls Colour Blast

The Girls Colour Blast is a one-day clinic, where girls of all abilities can learn and hone their cricket skills through fun activities and a game of cricket! 

The day ends with a fun and popular Colour Blast!

  • FairPlay Vouchers
FairPlay vouchers will continue to support children and young people who need it most, so they can start or continue to be physically active.
Eligible parents, caregivers and guardians can apply for a voucher valued up to $150 for their child which can be put towards sport and active recreation membership, registration or participation fees.

  • How old does my child have to be to play cricket?

Our programs are for children aged 5-17 years. 

  • I don't think my little one has the attention span to stand in the middle of a field.

Our Woolworth Blast programs are perfect for littlies. Sessions go for around 1 hour and children learn cricket skills through drills and fun skill-based games. Come along for a trial afternoon to try before signing up.

  • How can I register my child?

You can register your child by clicking here.

  • When is the registration period?

Registration for the new season is usually at the end of Term 3. However, you are welcome to bring your child for a Come and Try day on a Friday afternoon at any stage during the season before signing up. 

  • What is included in the registration fee?

Woolworths Blast participants have set packs with their registration.

Master Blasters and above receive a club shirt, hat, and water bottle. Fees also include membership and insurance. Competition shirts are purchased separately.
